08/02/2025 - The comments section

[07/02/2025] : Okay so, as i've said, I'm testing out stuff to add comment sections on my blogposts. I looked into making something myself, but it involved making a CRUD app which involves php, sql...
I was going to give it a shoit and then realized it seems like i can't do php on neocities. So maybe i'll retry when i self host.
As I'm writing this actually i realize i could have just, written the php code locally and whatnot but its too late now, whatever.
Anyways, i stumbled upon this project called Chattable. It's third party, which i'm not a big fan of;
I want to do as much as possible by myself on this project, but considering how complex building a comment section seems to be and how much of a feeling of "purpose" it would give to the blog... I'll take that compromise.
It seems lightweight, lets you comment anonymously, and also lets me moderate the thing, which i hope i don't have to honestly. Freedom of speech is cool, just dont be rude and shit.
So, here it is, right here, down below. It's currently using one of the preset themes, I'll make my own for the next blogposts. It's also very small for that page, but it's also something I'll try to solve later.
Right now, i want to test it, link this blog to people before I make it accessible from the blog area page, and see if it works well and whatnot.

[08/02/2025] : Thanks to everyone who has participated and tested the chat ! I tried making my own theme, which right now is just... white text so that you can see it over the background lol.
My main hope was to be able to make it larger and taller which i succeeded. I might try to make a proper theme later but right now it just works and is readable which is all i want.
I guess next i could try and make the site responsive so it's usable on mobile. I've been told about bootstrap, I'll have to look into that.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the comment section :)
